Sprays
Hi all,
I would like to model the spraying of a fluid and predict the resulting droplet size distribution. Therefore a correct model for breakup and coalescense of the fluid is mandatory. Did anyone perform such a simulation before? If so could you share some hints and tips? Kind regards, Pascale |
Re: Sprays
Check the work of P. J. O'Rourke, formerly of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Pete built the models used in the KIVA series of internal combustion simulation codes. Before LANL, he was at Princeton. Don't know what he's doing now.
Be warned that there is also a satirist with the same name who writes for various U. S. magazines. |
Re: Sprays
Some collegues of me modelled problem like yours in for sprayforming process. But almost with own codes. See list of publications: http://sfb372.iwt.uni-bremen.de/literatur/pub-g1.html or contact the sprayforming group (esp. multiphase flow section).

Hi Everyone
I am trying to implement the other possibilties of collisions in KVIA, stretching and reflexive collisions, I was wondering if you know how I should introduce the new satelite drops to KIVA, grateful for any help? |
examples for kiva 3V or kiva 4.
Hi, I'm working with kiva 3V.
I need examples for kiva 3V or kiva 4. non engine application. someone who can help me? someone who has worked with kiva 3v or kiva4? I'm trying to simulate a spray impacting on a surface. |
