Dear all,
I know that CFL must be smaller than unity in an unsteady 1d calculation disregarding diffusion. But I wonder what the criteria is in a 2D flow (no diffusion) ?

Thanks in advance

in 2D its same

but in the CFL number lambda will be the wave speed normal to the face on which you are computing the flux.
