Hi all,

Not sure which turbulence model I should be using!

I'm modelling the flow of air (around 40 to 100 l/s) through a small ventilation unit using CFX

Air velocities are low, less than 1 m/s.

It's about 300 x 300 x 600 mm and contains a copper tube heat exchanger and a filter which I've modelled at pressure drops.

Many thanks for any help!

Try using the Menter Shear Stress Transport Model.

This uses K-epsilon in the free stream and k-omega near wall - best of both worlds...

Cheers,

I ended up running most of my simulations using either SSG or RNGkEpsilon. Seemed to provide the closest match to my experimental results.

I'll have a look into the turbulence model that you suggest though.

Cheers pal!
