Fortran CFD coding on Macintosh OS

Hello CFD onliner all.
I've been coding CFD In-House Program on Windows Platform using Fortran so far.
But, from now on, I want to change my laptop as well as OS.
It is unfamiliar enviroment for me to code CFD program.
And I have little information on Macintosh OS.
So, Here is a questions.
How many do users use Macintosh OS comparing Windows in either US or WorldWide?
Does Mac Os have any Pros and Cons for programing with Fortran?
It it does, let me know.
Thanks in advance.

I've been involved with CFD for some time including coding my own solvers etc. and everyone I know uses Linux. All the big parallel machines run some type of unix based system so why shouldn't you develope in the same type of environment.

MAC has a unix-type kernel underneath it. So you will have not problem developing cfd on mac. I use g95, gfortran, ifort on mac for my cfd coding. You will enjoy working on the mac.
