run cfx post in batch

I have heard that CFD post-processor, has a feature called session file, which this capability in batch mode which can be applied to quickly reproduce output for a series of runs. Can u show me how to do that

I have to create a bunch of text file containing data of my transient run

It is so hard to do in GUI-It takes forever

Hi,

1-load res file in CFX post then select New session (e.g test.cse).
2-Click Recording session.
3-After done with whatever you want to do with post processor.
4- click stop recording.

As soon as you are done with recording the session. You will get a .cse file
(test.cse).

then you can run it in batch mode:

cfx5post.exe -batch test.cse test.res

Where test.res, for example is your result file from simulation.

Reference Macros

While the easiest way is to get the commands from a recorded session, as stated earlier - if you desire more options, you can refer to the Macros directory in the installation folder. You can search for *.cse and look at typical macros for Turbines, Compressors and Pumps. You can look at how to declare variables, assign values, array operations - depending on your needs.
