run cfx post in batch

I have heard that CFD post-processor, has a feature called session file, which this capability in batch mode which can be applied to quickly reproduce output for a series of runs. Can u show me how to do that
I have to create a bunch of text file containing data of my transient run It is so hard to do in GUI-It takes forever |

Hi,
1-load res file in CFX post then select New session (e.g test.cse). 2-Click Recording session. 3-After done with whatever you want to do with post processor. 4- click stop recording. As soon as you are done with recording the session. You will get a .cse file (test.cse). then you can run it in batch mode: cfx5post.exe -batch test.cse test.res Where test.res, for example is your result file from simulation. |

While the easiest way is to get the commands from a recorded session, as stated earlier - if you desire more options, you can refer to the Macros directory in the installation folder. You can search for *.cse and look at typical macros for Turbines, Compressors and Pumps. You can look at how to declare variables, assign values, array operations - depending on your needs.
