question about Faver average

dear all

to compressible NS equations, the Faver average was used. it will lost some information. I want to know why it will lost them and how lost, lost what? in <turbulent model in CFD> book, the author said, the density fluctuation is not lost by Favre average! but ,why? thanks for your help
