Gambit boundary layer

Hi
I hope sum1 can help me.
I've checked for a solution on previous posts but everything i've tried (that has been suggested on this forum) DOES NOT work. As time is a major factor, I thought I'd post sumthing and ask for help...
I am trying to create a boundary layer mesh for a multi-element airfoil but the direction of the arrow (and boundary layer) is into the airfoil. I've subtracted the airfoil+flap faces from the domain and then the arrow direction is along the airfoil. there are sum posts of creating a 'box' but didn't find them to be clear on what is required. of course shift-middle button does not work either.
Please help

PS I know the boundary can be adapted in Fluent, but was hoping to do this in Gambit cos have a couple of simulations to run, with different flap and slat configurations.

Thanx
Jullie

Hello,

I think that you should construct your surfaces not by substracting one from another. I advise you to construct the surfaces by creating them from edges. You will need at least 3 edges to construct a face. If you don't have enough edges, you can construct some edges passing through some points (you will have to choose these points). And after, if you don't want too many surfaces, you can merge them. I always do this way in order to avoid the problem with the normal on the surface boundary.
I hope that this will help..
