BASICS

I'm very much beginner in cfd. CFD is based on which law?(Like mass/energy/momentem conservation)

One more question.

Is CFD always cheap and cost effective in all cases?

Cfd is nothing but solving the problems of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and gasdynamics using numerical methods instead of analytically solving them. This involves the entire numerics because of the errors generated from approximations of numerical methods.Ask more questions

I suggest you have a look at PHOENICS WEB SITE. www.cham.co.uk, It is a very nice place to start from. Next I suggest you read on of the excellent books in the area like Computational Fluid Dynamics, the basics with applications written by prof. Anderson.
