help( solid and liquid mixing)

Hi, I am simulating the liquid-solid flow using FLUENTin in stirred tanks using impeller. My problem is that when I go to the multiphase model, it does not read the solid material and how to build geometry (for soild) in gambit?. How can I make it reads the solid phase in the multiphase model? Thanking you for any help regarding this problem.

Hi dear sanaz.

I don't know what do you wanna exactly but these hints maybe be usefull.

1) 20st & 21st chapter of help of fluent is about multi phase flow.
you can use lagrangian model or eulerian model for modeling second phase (solid particles).

2) you don't need to model the solid particles in gambit.it is modeld in fluent.

3) if you wanna use lagrangian model for turbulent flow you must use DPM.(Disceret Phase Model )

if you have any questions about these issu mail me.
have a good time.
