Looks like you are trying to solve a 2-d problem, where the dimensions are time and space only involving x direction. You can try looking at books that have "Crank-Nicolson scheme" for your time splitting. of course, for spatial difference, you can look at the normal finite difference schemes(central, foward or backward difference, whichever you want to use).
