Wavefront's in sparse matrices

Default Wavefront's in sparse matrices

I was woundering can computational wavefront's be used on anisotropic grid (non-uniform grid distance) for the computation of forward and backward LU factorization when I have to solve the linear system of equations Ax = b ?
