hello everyone!
I want to know wether the dvm can be used for 3-d flow modeling?
because some of the examples appeared in papers are all 2-d model. I have never seen an 3-d example.
thanks very much for your reply!

There are many 3D vortex methods-based simulations/examples in the literature (both journal and conference papers on internal and external incompressible flows)

I know there are many 3-d vortex methods for flow simulation.
here, I am more conscious with dicrete vortex method.
because i didn't read enough papers, I want to ask someone have the experions about discrete vortex method.

thanks again!

the terms vortex method and discrete vortex method are understood to mean the same thing: Lagrangian vortex element/particle method. These are gridless/meshless/particle methods for simulating the evolution of the vorticity transport equations in the Lagrangian reference frame. So, when doing literature search, just use vortex method.
