Default Flow Mixing

Hi, I am presently simulating flow mixing using Dissipative Particle Dynamics (it is a discrete particle method).

I want to know which is the most suitable method in continuum mechanics (FVM, FEM) for simulating mixing (immiscible and miscible).

Also, if I develop a code for lagrangian FEM dynamic mesh method for flow with flexible, deforming boundaries, is it possible to incorporate multi fluid mixing in it? (i beleive that the best example is flow of RBCs in blood vessel and mixing of a drug in it)

Mostly, I am restricting my application to 2D in the case of FVM or FEM.

Thanx in advance for your suggestions.

Regards, Shyam
