Installing Code_Saturne 2.0.0b (and Salome 5.1.2) on an Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic 64bits

To install Code_Saturne on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 64bits,
Follow this link:

I've made some kind of working archive by modifying some things in the installer provided by EDF and a little script.
That works perfectly for me.

You just have to untar the archive directly in your home folder and follow the instructions of the README-INSTALL file.

Enjoy !!!

I have just browsed the given page, is the following correct
Total size: 1.16 gigabyte
What is included in that compressed file ? The EDF installer is just 11 KB and it downloads what is needed.
Thanks and Good Luck

Hi,

In the archive, there is:
- Installer for Salome 5.1.2
- Installer for Code_Saturne 2.0.0b2
- Some script

The install of salome in necessary because I have modfied the installer of Code_Saturne so that it uses 2 or 3 libraries used by Salome.
The archive is big, but it's, I think, the simplest way to have a working Code_Saturne on ubuntu Karmic : All dependant packages are 'apt-got' automatically and all library dependancies are solved.

I'm not an experienced user of torrent upload. Please tell me if you are trying to download the archive via bittorent to verify that transfert start up ...

If you want Code_Saturne only (92.6 MB), go to thread :
