Induced drag from N-S flow-field

Someone here must have done this before...

I am trying to compute the induced drag of a wing from N-S solution. The Trefftz-plane analysis gives much too low numbers, IMO due to the coarse grid far behind the model. I have tried the approach of Schmitt and Destarac (AIAA paper 98-0137) and that of Giles and Cummings (J. Aircraft 36(2):357-373, 2 papers) in the near field, within 50% chord or so behind the wing. These also give values that seem a bit too low.

But, both of the papers I mentioned mainly deal with Euler eqns and the authors do acknowledge that "the extension to viscous cases needs work".

SO, the question is, has either one of these methods been extended to N-S cases, or is there another approach someone could suggest?

Thanks.
