Hi everybody,

I have a problem with porous media in Fluent and OpenFoam. If I model a channel as porous channel and prescribe the Darcy coefficients for it.
What is Fluent/OpenFoam doing - is he solving the whole Navier Stokes equation or just Darcy-Forcheimer? If he solve N-S, does it mean that I need again a fine mash like in the channel without the porous media inside?

Thank you very Much
M
