Hi all,
I have a question concerning ICEM Tetra. Is it possible to mesh a volume with an inserted baffle? If so, could you please tell me how this can be done? thx |

ICEM Tetra automatically creates triangular shells on all surfaces, so if only your geometry model contains internal surfaces, you should get the baffles automatically in your mesh.

No this is not the case. I have a room with a baffle inside and when I have a look at the mesh no triangles are created for the interior surface (zero thickness). I guess tetra can't do it, because nothing is mention in the manual about zero thickness surfaces in volumes.

You have to enable "internal wall" in Geometry->Mesh Params->Select Family. If neccessary you can split the evolving shell elements into two (if you have to distinguish left and right side) in the mesh editor
