Hi all.

I'd be appreciated if everybody help me know how to think of following problem with these specifications:

1- Two phase flow (VOf problem).
2- primary phase is air.
3-Secondary phase is a mixture of two material: B and C.
4- B and C (secondary phase) are penetrated together. Therfore they can be considered as transport ones and then they can be modeled as species phenomena by considering a concentration equation.
5- Hence, concentration equation must be solved in secondary phase only.

Can u suggest a software for sudying this problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

Try interMixingFoam solver in OpenFOAM (www.openfoam.org).

Thanks Dear Pei

Since I am novice in OpenFOAM, can u tell me how to access this open source code with Windows as operating system (not Linux)?

As well , Since my problem is VOF-based (free surface), are u sure this code (intermixing) can help me?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi,

interMixingFoam uses VOF to capture the free surfaces and the two liquid phases are allowed to mix.

Sorry about the windows version. I do not run OpenFOAM on MS windows. It compiles easily on OpenSUSE. Do a search on sourceforge.net on OpenFOAM. There is a version that allows OpenFOAM to install on MS windows via cygwin.
