Air lift Reactor Help

Hi all,

I am building a airlift bioreactor for my senior project and I am using fluent to help predict the flow. Basically, its a cylinder of water with a velocity inlet (bubbles) at the bottom and a pressure outlet at the top. We are using a multiphase mixture model.

As it iterates we are losing almost all of our water out the pressure outlet. How can I tell fluent to only allow gas to escape the system and keep the water in the tank? Thanks for any help or ideas you may have.

Cheers

Try to use CFX with degassing condition on the top of column. If you use Fluent it is recommended to insert additional zone on the top of column with gas only, but I don`t know exactly how to do it. I have similar problem and still have no solution.
