I am new to this field and i am asked to model the behavior of a non newtonian fluid inside an eccentric annulus. I went through a couple of books (Computational-Rheology-for-Pipeline-and-Annular-Flow-Wilson-C-Chin, Numerical grid generation foundation and applications-Thomson, Warsi and Mastin.) I got familiar with the method of boundary conforming grid generation my problem is the sequence of solution to the whole problem( defining the boundary condition---> transforming the physical model equations using the transformation matrices---> dicretesizing the equations---> finite difference technique to solve numerically transformed eq. etc.) am not sure of the sequence and i need step by step examples even if they are different than my application just to get the spirit of the solution.
The second question is: Is it easier to use an annular flow solver (i didnt find one? any ideas if there is a solver present in the Openfoam or other open source software) i do appreciate any kind of help (books that could help me further, scientific papers or present solvers for this highly non linear problem. Wish you all a perfect day |
