Multigrid code

Hi, Prevously, I wrote a 2D finite volume Euler code based on cell-centered Jameson-Schmidt-Turkel (JST) scheme. Now, I want to implement multigrid convergence acceleration to it. Can anyone give me any decent idea about how it is done? Thanks in advance. Regards.

search Jameson 's paper in 1980s.

Jameson's papers offer very little if you're trying to figure out how to implement one of his algorithms. You would be better of looking in a good CFD book.

Re: Multigrid code

Muygun,

The following resources are ordered from the simplest to the deepest presentation of the multigrid method.

A simple intro is given in http://www.cfdreview.com/features/01.../2217256.shtml.

I have recently seen a clear elementary explanation in the book of Fertziger and Peric.

I've heard there is an excellent presentation in the booklet W.L. Briggs "A Multigrid Tutorial".

For deeper understanding of the underlying theory, see publications of Achi Brandt, the original developer of multigrid (e.g. A. Brandt, Multi-level adaptive solutions to boundary value problems, Math. of Computation vol. 31, pp. 333–390, 1977).

I hope this helps,

Rami
