hi, everyone. now i am doing some simulation work about microdroplet dynamics, i wanna get the flow field inside the droplet.
here is the question, now i get to know how to simulate the flow field on rectangle domain. however, when it turned out to be circular domain, i just do not how to start, coz it is Cartesian coordinate in staggered grid. The boundary condition, the update of grid, and the evolution of velocity are all so different. Can anyone help me with this question? Last edited by heisenbergg; March 31, 2010 at 23:34. |

Dear Heisenberg,
This is a little tricky, because you need to move into curvilinear coordinates rather than Cartesian coordinates. Staggered grids are quite a mess in curvilinear coordinates though, but you can refer to the book and papers by Prof. Wesseling and references therein for more information. Hope this helps Regards, Ganesh |
