Dear, You are asking a question with very simple answer that you consult any book related to Hydraulics and please mention specific type of pump in which you are interested to design. If you still face any problem then ask it.

There is a very thick pump design handbook by Igor Karassik, Mcgraw-Hill,1986, which has a small chapter on design principles and samples on centrifugal pumps. Flow in 3-D centrifugal pump is very complicated. Centrifugal pump design still depends heavily on empirical data curves in addition to the simple design principles. Only very few people have attempted to solve 3-D viscous flow in centrifugal pump.
