I am a research student at NUS singapore working on Internal combustion engines. we have planned to do research work on combustion using KIVA 4. we have purchased the software package. Since I am new to linux platform and fortran language i am finding hard to understand the usage of this software.

As for us my understanding I have learned to create an executable Kiva 4 file using make command in fortran compiler.

I dont know how to use this executable file along with the input files and other supporting files. Can any one help me out with an example available in the software.

I found many default folders provided with the software package. Kiva3d and kiva3prep folders contains many fortranfiles.I suppose these files are used in creating the executable file using make command.

In addition to the above folders there are someother folders like input files ,output runs, plot gmv files, kiva4 grids. How to use these files to produce the results?

Also some of the parameters specified in itape5 file are not described in detail.where could i gather details about all parameters and their units?

Since i dont have any basic idea about this software kindly suggest me few basic material about the usage of the software.
