anybody can tell me what are the main diffrences between finite volume and finite difference method?? their applications?

Every week somebody asks what the difference between FD and FV is. Of course, somebody could post the same answers over and over again or you could first read some accessible articles (e.g. in Wikipedia) and then ask specific questions about stuff you don't understand.
