Hello there

I would like to have some algorithms for generating structured grids for a given boundary profile. Say, a nozzle, flow over a step for which I would need to generate structured grids for the computation.

Is there a source code available for understanding ?

Thanks

If you are at a US university get a copy of GRAPE (from NASA GRC, do a google on "grid generation GRAPE"). That's one of the original elliptic grid generation codes.

Hi Kim

Thanks for the help. I would more like need a Fortran/C Soruce Code for body fitted Grid generator ?

Like given a backward facing step, convergent nozzles, i need to generate a 2D structured grid.

Thanks for your time.

you could try the book

Structured Grid Generation by M. Farrashkhalvat and J.P. Miles

the FORTRAN code for the examples is on the publishers web pages (Butterworth Heinemann),

Hi Tom

Thanks for the link. Looks like this is a very good introduction to Grid generation.

Hi! I am resuscitating this thread because I would need to get those Fortran codes. The link reported in the book http://www.bh.com/companions/0750650583 no longer works, and neither the link provided by Tom. Does anyone have these files saved in their computers? Thank you.

Well yup, as MARSAM said, i reaaly need to put my hands on those codes, so if anyone out there has them, i would really aprecciate if they could provide them.
I'm really in need here

I had sent an E-mail to Elsevier for asking if they still have the codes for this book, but unfortunately, they don't. I would be really grateful if anyone can send me a copy. Thanks! 8cold8hot@gmail.com
