About burning velocity
 

Hello, everyone, I am a beginer at combustion simulating. I have a question about the burning velocity. Could you help me? The qusetion as following : As we known, the burning velocity (refered as SL) usually calculated in one-dimension planar flame, the formula for burning velocity is : SL=Vin-Vf where Vin is the inlet velocity and Vf is flame propagation speed. So if the flame stagnates somewhere, i.e SL=0, we can say that where Vin=Vf. But for 2D, for example in counterflow premixed flame, there also exists stagnation flames where SL=0, whether I can say where V_local=Vf. V_local is the local flow velocity. Thanks!
