stability at high Mach number flow
 

hi,

is there a stability issue associated with high speed inviscid supersonic flow that i am not aware of? my problem is that, as the bow shock appears in front of the sphere (not steady state yet), the total energy of the point (near the stagnation axis) on the free stream side of the shock drop too much, lowerring the internal energy. it doesn't make any sense, i can't trace where the bug is.

btw, at the inlet domain, i specify free stream Mach number, with Tref. the rest of the domain, atm pressure and at rest condition.
