2D Modelling of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine

Hi, I need help.

I am trying to model the flow of air over the blade of a horizontal axis wind turbine. I understand that as the blade is turning, this is not a conventional airfoil problem, but rather a turbomachinery problem. I want to do it in 2D, but am unsure as to how I should design the mesh.I am using ICEM.

Should the mesh be curved, so that I can rotate it around a central axis? If so, how do I do this? Is this going to make the problem a 3D problem?

Any help you have with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Richie.

i am running a 3d simulation of vertical axis turbine.Te torque and the cp is not coming down and increasing over the tip speed ratios. Can some help me with this?
