I'm looking to download a good FORTRAN editor. I especially need it to have highlighted text and related perks. I've looked extensively online but I can't seem to find an easy to install and easy to use editor.

Please provide a link instead of just the name of a general editor.

(I don't need a compiler.)

there are plenty of fortran editor and most of them are included with a compiler that you can use your own compiler instead.
especial for windows os the best one is Visual Studio.
for Linux you can use vim which is not so easy to start but is very powerful and many of professional programmers use it. Oracle developer studio is another case which is based on Netbeans and Sun compilers.
also you can use Eclipse which is multiplatform.
also, there are many simple editors like notepad++ (only for windows). google it!!!
