Nonlinear Wave Tank modelI'm modelling a wave energy converter in a 2D wave tank and am using a boundary integral equation method and have split the boundary into panels to apply it.
My problem is in trying to determine d(phi)/dx and d(phi)/dz when I only know the values of the potential at the boundary edge. I've looked at using the motion of the nodes/particles ie dx/dt and dz/dt: e.g. d(phi)dx = d(phi)/dz X dz/dt X dt/dx but I just find myself going in circles and the program not working. I'm new to using the boundary integral method so there's hopefully a simple solution to this and I would be very grateful if anyone could point it out. Thanks |
