I'm interesting in SST based DES and study Strelets's paper.

"Detached Eddy Simulation of Massively Separated Flows," AIAA 2001-0879

Strelets used central/upwind blending scheme.

I don't know exactly the definition of " characteristics convective time t" term in this paper.

And also C_mu's definition is not clear.

Perhaps, do you know this definition or the reference about these terms?

thanks in advance
