Hello guys, I am looking forward for MS (Fall 2k11). Can you please suggest me the universities in US that have research interests in the field of CFD.

More than the research interests of universities, it is YOUR research interest that will matter. You will find a computational lab at almost all the universities. So browse different universities. Also, check out jobs section of this site, where people posts for students interested in phds etc. That would be the best start.

Also, unless you're very rich, don't study without financial aid.

I am a chemical Engineer and want to pursue my MS in the same branch. Keeping this in view, i have already been through the departmental (chemical) site of a couple of univs but i couldn't find much CFD research.
May be if you can tell me some chemical engg departments wherein CFD is of interest i would be obliged.

If your interested in doing your MTech in India, then in IIT Madras, Some of the faculty in Dept of Chemical Engineering are doing CFD research.

Search for cfd works in chemically reacting flow or hypersonic flows cfd, which includes aerothermodynamics... at those high speeds, chemical reactions become important.

do you have any research publications? They're very helpful in getting financial aid, also it makes you aware of who's who in the research field of your interest.

becoming a research assistant in some project at IITs or IISc would help if you do some good job.

Also, a lot of univs easily give aid to phd-interested students..see if you're up for that.. Also, some companies, like GE, hire PhD's easily and apply for their work visa, while they don't do the same thing for students with only Master's

what if I just have a very basic understanding of fluids? I've mostly just seen incompressible flows and not really compressible flows

also, in the US at least, it seems to be very hard to get an MS with thesis AND get funding (at least initially). How likely is it to find funding after a semester or two?

you may want to have a look at Imperial College in London, UK. It is very well known for Chemical and I remember seeing a PhD offer for CFD from the Chemistry Dept. so there could be a related course.
