Hi,
I'm studing buoyancy-driven flows and I've heard about a SIMPLE like algorithm called SIMPLET that corrects the velocity field not only with pressure gradient but also with temperature gradient. Has anyone heard or worked on it? Which are the advantages? Is there another type of algorithms that work good with this tipe of motion? Thanks in advantage |

Have a look in

hi i am post gradute student i work in the the filed on the developing laminar mixed convection in horizontal cicular ducts so we study the same type of flow i have used the SIMPLER alogrithm it is worked very well with me i just have been testd in the inclined position ansd it works well and in the leterure the most arthours they used the simpler as basic alogarithm . so if you want papers or any type of help just email me my email is YELHASDI@yahoo.com i am intersedted to know your working field

Thanks for your references!
It seems like the SIMPLET method doesn't provide enought improvement on the convergence. Nobody has used it apart from its authors?? None of them has writen anything more about it!!!! I'm working on SIMPLEC algorithm and I need to improve it when natural convection causes the motion of the fluid, how can I do it without the need of implementing the P equations (as SIMPLER and PISO do)?? |

hi i prefere to work with SIMPLER and you need the pressure eqution becouse the difference between the SIMPLER and the SIMPLEC is the method of the correction of the velociteys as far as i know i work with the natural convection i hope to you the best
