bubble rising in a column

hello frnds,
can anyone explain the way to mesh for bubble rising in a column. i want to study the dynamics of the bubble and deformation of bubble with time. i am confused with the part of creation of bubble...whether i have to create a bubble geometry or i can initialize the bubble injection through boundary conditions. how to do the meshing at critical path of bubble rising through the column...
thanks in advance

hi friend for reducing the computational cost you can use axisymetric mesh , and create a bubble as initial field

Hei,

which numerical method for the phase interface do you use? I guess VOF or level set. In this case, you do not have to mesh the bubble geometry explicitly. Instead you give the bubble geometry as an initial boundary condition for either the volume fraction function or the level set function.

Cheers

Hans
