LES energy levels
 

I have a really basic LES code. would any one be able to tell me how I can evaluate if my grid is fine enough.

how can I be sure that my cut-off is in the invariance energy range? what outputs of energy could I get from my code to help me know this?

When solution has progressed a bit check your y+. Visit this site for viscous grid spacing calculation http://geolab.larc.nasa.gov/APPS/YPlus/

y+ value for les calculation should be less than 1 for LES.

i was thinking more about away from regions in an unconfined flow.

how can i be sure my filter width is in my invariant energy range?
