Shallow water: research areas

Hello,

I'm working on numerical simulation of shallow water equations by an adaptive finite volume method (ROE scheme ), I would like to launch a new doctoral students to continue on the same axis recheche but I havent ideas about the actual researches in the same axis. I want ask you if you have any suggestions that can help me.
I'm looking for people with whom I can collaborate.
