Function of blade tip ring
 

Hi all

From the new automotive engine cooling fan, I saw that the fan blades are connected with a cylinder ring (like the duct rotating with the impeller). It looks good in strength point of view for a big size fan. Could any one tell what are the benefits and back draws aerodynamically?

1- my english language is not good 2- i want subjects for marine water jet system 3-i want subjects for impeller,DUCT, marine water jet pump , flow in the pump, and fluid in to the duct , &FLUENT FOR THIS SUBJECT ** CAN YOU HELP ME? THANKYOU FROM YOUR ATTENTION.
