There is a largescale effort in the material simulations community to bridge different length and time scales. There are several attempts (and many beautiful illustrations) which connect MD/MC simulations to the continum level. In general bridging the connection bt. micro and macro scales. Just wondering, if the experts on this forum are aware of similar attempts in CFD. I will grately appreciate pointers to some good references.
