Question Characteristic length of flow over a sine wave

newtocfd is on a distinguished road
Hi. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction of what the characteristic length scale is for flow over a sine wave (to model flow over a periodic hill)? I guess it could be amplitude perhaps?
This is in order to calculate Re number.
