need help on simulating flow over a cylinder

hi all,
need some advise and suggestion to start of for a project on flow over a bundle of circular cylinder. I'm using air as the working fluid with low reynolds number to get the nusselt number around the circular cylinder. Anyone can suggest me on the steps to start it.

thanks

first of all, fix ur domain for ur simulation. that means cylinders position, alignment and so on. later try to make the fine mesh around the cylinders and some distance away from it in downstream zone to capture the flow.
then set up the case. run the simulation. compare the Cd and Nu with literature values.
before procedding do some literature survey it will give u a clear idea.

Is that Nu means Nusselt number...
i think you need to compare with the Strohals number along with the Cd

yes it means Nusselt number.
you can compare Strouhal no. also with literature values

hi swamysrikanth

i have tried to simulate the bundle of circular cylinder with reynolds number of 100 but i got the Nu of 350 at the stagnation point of the cylinder. which is not reasonable.may i know whats the problem.
