Enthalpy

Hi,

If I have a premixed combustion system (say, CH4 and air at lean conditions) and I I want to calculate the temperature after combustion at a point using simple equlibrium with the thermochemical tables, allowing me to calculate ho (the enthalpy). why is it that the enthalpy can be assumed constant (the same before and after combustion).

Re: Enthalpy

Energy conservation equation in constant Pressure can be reduced to enthalpy constant
