Computing the flow map
Dear All,
I have a regular grid domain ( I am using finite difference) over which is defined a (time-dependent) velocity field and a density that satisfy the continuity equation. What I want to do is to compute the associated flow map. Well, I know that this is theoretically achieved by integrating the particle paths. However, when I apply the resulting map, the image of the initial density does not match the final density. So is there any software/library or method to compute the flow map accurately. The flow is by the way compressible. Thanks in advance for the help. Said. PS. I am a computer scientist not a CFD expert :-) |
