DO I have to use UDF?

My problem is I want to model a simple 2d water flow in a pipe and apply a some heating on the walls of the pipe.

I am new to this program and I am confused whether I should use UDF (user defined functions) to solve my problem?? or Fluent itself is capable.

I would appreciate if you guide me to useful tutorials other than the one on fluent website and Cornell University. Thank you.
