Coupled FSI using ANSYS-FLOTRAN

Hello dear all,
I was just wondering how I should fix the various parameters in analysing static coupled fluid-structure analysis using the ANSYS-CFD FLOTRAN module. There are two options for this -- sequential and direct coupled. I am planning to go for sequential and see the variation of pressure coefficient with the deflection of the building. So, can anyone, out there, please, tip me if you have been to such problem. ...any online tutorials on this specific problem? I tried to see the ANSYS tutorials of online-help; but it's hardly useful for my particular settings..... would really love any input..... tanx |

I don't believe that you can monolithically couple(what you call direct) the fluid and structure using ANSYS-Flotran..only sequential coupling is possible..ie solve for fluid pressure apply this to the structure solve for the displacement apply this as a BC for the fluid...rinse,wash repeat until convergence.
