hi everyone:

I want get the velocity of every cell, and get the velocity from Fluent(export...solution ....ASCII),But i cannot know the relationship between the velocity and the cell.
for example the mesh have 10,000 cells, but i get from fluent the number of the vecolity are larger the 10,000,why?

if i only want to get the of velocity of tetrahedron cell(the mesh is unstructure and the 3d element only tetrahedron ) ,how can i do?

thank your!

Hi are you sure that fluent is exporting cell velocity data and not the node velocity data? You mentioned that the number of velocity is larger than 10,000 but by how much.
Also I think what you are trying to do could very well be done in a CFD post-processors. If you do not have access to a commercial post-processor you can you free and open source Paraview (www.paraview.org)
