Hi all,
I am urgently looking for a fortran code to allow me to complete a university research assignment. 2d conduction unsteady - implicit/explicit/CN - square flat plate with boundary temp on 3 sides set to T=0, fourth side to T=1. Objective to study convergence of solution. BTW, what is the Theoretical solution for this sample problem - apparently a classic 2d problem? Simple grid. I would really appreciate any leads. Thanks for your kind assistance. Regards, Des Aubery... |

Hi again A.S... a truly fantstic resource you have there... thanks so much for your assistance...
Last part of the question: "BTW, what is the Theoretical solution for this sample problem - apparently a classic 2d problem?" Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks again... Des Aubery... |

(Book) 'Conduction of Heat in Solids' - Carslaw & Jaeger.
The book by Kakac & Yener (on conduction heat transfer) or by Ozisic ('Heat Conduction') also may be of help. |

Does anyone know of a place where I can find a simple 1D axisymmetric code like :
1/r*d/dr(1/r*dU/dr)+S=0 I appreciate ur help. |

Thanks very much A.S. Good code. I compiled under g95 & the simulations went well... with a minor re-positioning of 2 lines of code (could be your web-page had misaligned the two line... rest went perfectly).
Much obliged... diaw... |
