Default Heat Transfer & Boundary Conditions across 2D wall

Hi; i am facing problems in 2D heat transfer.

In 2D, how to model heat transfer across the wall.

what would be the boundary conditions, if convection is taking place on both sides.I dont want to define any fixed temperature on the wall. Through convection, temperature should be defined automatically on the wall.

if anyone can help me on this

I know theoratically what is hapenning across the wall. but i am not able to apply theoratical concepts exactly in fluent. I am facing problems in 'BOUNDARY CONDITIONS".

any input would be appreciated

Once you have defined the cells that belong to a particular boundary, then apply the b/c of choice.

Fixed flux boundary condition, or alternatively a heat-transfer resistance/temperature combination.

Check on your package... you could even go in & alter the user-defined boundary conditions... all depends on the package you are using.

1. what is boundary condition? 2. how many boundary condition do we need to specify for a two dimentional heat transfer problem? 3. how is boundary condition on an insulated surface expressed mathematically? 4. what is the one-dimentional transient heat conduction equation for a plane wall with constant thermal conductivity and heat generation in its simplest form, and indicate what each variable represents.
