Kiva3v2 under RedHat Linux9.0???
Hello everyone:
I am new with RedHat Linux9.0, and Kiva3v2 can not be complied properlly, the problems are: 1. How to specify real type as double precision; 2. when nv is big enough, the program will not be run (PC with 1.0G RAM). Help needed! Thanks in advance. LiQiang |

which compiler do you use. I have not problem in red hat linux 9.0. Can you send me your makefile. Can you show the error which you get. Z

The compiler in ReadHat Linux 9.0 is G77, and in kiva3v2 there is real variable have a big value up to 1.0E+100, and because the variable is defined as real type which has a word length of 32bit by default in G77, so INF is occured. Can you help me with it?? Thanks in advance

For most compilers, the -r8 option will enforce 64-bit reals throughout.

Is it working with Rami's advice. Actually we are working with ifc(version 8) compiler. as far as I know it is free why do not you install it and recompile everything. Z

I have installed the Intel fortran compiler 8.1 on my Linux and it works well. Can you help me on the best set of command option , I do simulation on PC, one processor , 512 RAM and Intel Pentium4
